  • A haven for AI omo art?

Not sure how many of you are users of Omorashi.org - this past week a ban's been enforced on posting AI-generated artwork. This has been driven by a vocal minority who seem only to push anti-AI barrows, and who turned several AI picture threads into ongoing arguments.

I've been thinking that maybe the forums here could become a haven for that sort of thing, and might stimulate some traffic. AI wetting and messing art has an audience, and posts can be easily labelled as such so people not interested can skip past.

    My two cents.

Only issues with AI is a vocal lunatic minority that dont care about AI but hold puritan delusions about things like "eye rape" or "thought rape" (tldr, that hold the view that just looking or even thinking about a person without their formal written consent should be treated as Rape, including imaginary people that dont even exist; these people seem to think that others should not even be allowed to think about sex or even a person at all without a lawyer signing off on every passing fancy) and yes, this is actually a thing. It is part of the reason why groups like coIIective shout exist; who go so far as trying to get any art or media even referencing gender (not even sexually or violently) banned. Which is ironic, as from what I hear a lot of the members of coIIective shout dont even identify as what is traditionally called straight, which makes their existence an even bigger anomaly since by their own standards they commit thought crimes about their own identity and others every day.

I personally dont mind AI art, with guard rails; not because I think they should be there, but because art can also be interpreted as slander; it would come under the same category as someone drawing a satirical parody comic about someone suggesting they are something they are not, only in AI the danger is at the top end, you cant tell its fake.

So in so much as AI art is concerned my OPINION here is that so long as it is not of a real person living or dead that might object to being mistaken for the one depicted; it is not depicting under age themes (sadly things are getting so bad that even implying a character even HAD a childhood has led to figurative book burning and thought rape like legal consequences in Australia, and Texas just flat out banned all comics, anime and manga because the characters are usually implied to be highschool age regardless of how innocent the plot is) or it is not depicting violence or horror, and is clearly labelled as AI it should be fine. I still wouldn't want to open the floodgates with unrestricted floods of AI threads; but if you wanna start a running thread on a photo section specifically concerning itself with posting AI art; i say go for it, the forum has a like system, i suppose if a given post gets too much hate we can hide it, and the photo board by default is hidden to non members anyway, which filters out at least some of the lunatic element for something harmless. A single interest topical thread covering AI art; that is clearly labelled as such shouldnt hurt. There are already 'running' threads on the photo board that have been going for years, and on the old wetting wonderland site there was posters uploading wet themed art all the time and nobody complained.

Give it a shot and see how it is received.
