  • Riva Flv File Player

Anybody know a safe site for downloading Riva? Or have a suggestion for a “better” flv player?

Never heard of it - don't mess with weird media players, they're almost always more trouble than they're worth. Just stick with VLC...

Nah. In Windows, they're usually either based on FFMPEG or the Windows video framework (whetever it is called). Is there really much that can go wrong?
The second one requires a simple codec to play various types of files. You can get a codec pack (K-Lite Codec Pack for example) to fix this. The first one works out of the box.

I would recommend either Media Player Classic (ships with K-Lite Codec Pack) or VLC (does not need any codec packs) for playing any type of video/audio in Windows.
