  • Why?

Is this forum dwindling away so? It just doesn't have the contributors it once did.
The competitor (I think) Omo has a lot of people on it, but a heap of restrictions and the moderator is a knob.
    I don't get it.

This forum has been through many cycles of growth and contraction over the years. I think we may still be recovering from the "temporary" shutdown of the forum that occurred when it was migrated to a new server. I don't remember how long the shutdown lasted, but it feels like it was at least six months.

I don't really see the omo site as a competitor to this board. There is certainly some overlap, in the sense that many people will find stuff that interests them in both forums. But there is a vast area in which the interests of the two communities do not overlap. The omo community has a very heavy emphasis on Asian material, both live action and animated. You don't find that here.

Equally important is the fact that the omo community prohibits any type of candid video of a genuine accident that is not staged or planned. They also prohibit narrative text that describes a true sighting of a genuine accident if the narrative involves what they consider to be "stalking" or voyeuristic behavior. So you are allowed to write about a stranger having a genuine accident that you witnessed, but not if you saw the girl getting desperate and decided to follow her around the store, or deliberately sit next to her on the bus, or something like that. As the original post said, the omo site has a lot restrictions that are not in effect here. And that really limits what you can talk about over there.

And they have limits on how frequently you can download stuff if you are not a paid subscriber.

In short, it's not really the same crowd, and I don't think they are in direct competition with this forum.

This forum has an ebb and flow. Maybe we are at a low point right now. But I don't think this forum is in danger of closing.

Omo is way to strict. Most content is stored on their own server, but downloading files is only possible for registered users. They don't accept disposable email addresses, so I guess I have to register with dalton@nasa.com or something. I think they don't allow proxies either.

Also, they don't allow request for scenes from main stream movies, one of my favorite subjects.

Yet, each time you click on something, you get a loud and aggressive porn popup first. Apparently, they don't have any problems with that. I prefer to stay here.

I agree with the above comments. I've posted some candid pics here of women who've had genuine accidents (which can't be posted on OMO), but response/comments have been hardly there...happy to help increase our conversations for post and tales.....let's make this site more interesting and fun.

These forums were down for eight months, from September of 2020 until May of 2021.

I agree with the comments about Omorashi. I cannot stand that place.

Back when this place was hopping, there was no social media or tube sites. I think those have had an effect.

If you think these forums are quiet, go visit Fatso's Pee Board. They rarely get a post nowadays and they used to be very busy.

Times change, but I think Wet Set forums will be around for a long time.
