Is this what British schoolgirl uniforms really look like?

The skirts are incredibly short. Some girls were not wearing a skirt, but rather tight black leggings.

Seriously?

How does the school leadership not recognize how incredibly sexualized this has become?

I am not condemning or judging anyone LOL. While I've never been really into the school uniform fetish, I do get it. Kelly MacDonald is smoking hot in Trainspotting.

And it is a sort of subgenre within wetting and AB/DL. And I think classroom accidents in high school are hot.

But I'm a middle class white American dude who went to public schools in the midwest in the 1980s and 90s. We didn't do uniforms LOL.

Is the school in Adolescence a public or private school?

I don't understand how the schools that use these uniforms do not recognize how erotic the whole thing is.

What about U.S. Catholic school girls' uniforms? Lots of girls seems to wear shorts under the nowadays, but I remember as a teen they did not, and I loved it.

Sounds like it's been overdone for TV. Generally schools will require skirts to be knee length, or trousers.

My wife is a school teacher over here in the UK. It has to be said that for a lot of 'state' schools (Run by the government, rather than 'Public' schools which are private and the parents pay a fee for their child to attend) the issue with the girls skirts is that the girls themselves try to make their skirts as short as possible. Whilst the uniform rules will be that the skirt should be knee length etc. policing this for the teachers is a low level priority in the school, when they have many other issues that are more serious to deal with. If the girl is particularly badly behaved, then breaking the skirt length rule is a useful one for the teacher to pull her up on to try and maintain discipline, but if the girl is generally well behaved, and there are no other issues around her school work and attendance, then an infringement of the skirt rule is likely to be overlooked by the teacher. As my wife often says, you have to pick your battles!..

A woman I used to date went to Catholic school; and the girls routinely when out of sight of teachers, etc would roll their skirts up from the waist to make the shorter to tease guys....THey had one administrators who used a ruler to measure the skirt...they thought (the girls thought) he was a perv....Now how this relates wetting/peeing I'm not sure, unless if a girl wet her panties and the skirt was short, could be seen more easily...always a nice thought.

It’s been 25 years since I sat my GCSEs but back in my day many of the girls wore extremely short skirts to school, and even then it was frowned upon by teachers.

Alas in all my secondary school years, I never saw a single wetting accident at school. I know of at least 3 girls from my school who did wet themselves in teenage school years, but never at school itself. One was my sister (many times), another was the older sister of a girl in my class who came in the following day and took great pleasure in telling everyone that her sister had wet herself the previous evening, and the last one was a girl I was occasional friends with who wet herself at a sleepover whilst laughing. Alas I wasn’t there and only heard about it later.

Lol. Don't ever lookup asian schools then.. and /especially/ dont look at girls attending schools or sporting events in Nebraska..

To be blunt.. I'll use the same point I make in similar discussions, almost always with United States residents. Is the problem their uniforms, or the fact you feel compelled to look, or the fact you feel guilty about it afterwards?, Or the fact you are deluding yourself and blaming it on someone else? *laughs*

There are many reasons here-
1: Uniforms are expensive, and as girls get older they get more aware of their bodies and the other boys interest in them. They are exploring their boundries. As a result many girls may quickly ourgrow their "regulation" skirts, but because they like the attention, and want to save money, they keep wearing the old ones instead of buy new ones. This means they get shorter every year.

2: More often it is the dirty mind of the observer, more than anything wrong the girls may be doing - for one, have you heard of something called "Skorts"?
They come in a couple of variations -
A: At first glance one variation look like a much too short shirt, but it is actually just a pair of shorts with a wide flare to make it pass uniform code as a skirt.
B: Once again at first glance this too looks like a much too short skirt, and in fact technically it is, but lift the hem up and once again it is just a single garment with built in shorts.

Skorts have often sparked outrage, not because there is anything wrong with them, but that some gutter minded people immediately assumed they were skirts and didnt known they are actually shorts.

Skorts as I recall became popular, because there was a short lived fashion trend around 2000 to 2006.. common in Japan/Australia/UK/USA where girls stopped wearing underwear at all... under skirts. (the source of the trend was apparently a series of articles in girls magazines about the health benefits of "going commando") In some asian nations particularly 3rd world ones, they might not even OWN underwear, and only wear such things during a certain time of month. So skorts became a thing because well even if you dont, nothing will show. The trend arose just before the "woke" era, because frankly if any teacher was looking, they should probably be fired anyway. This was the peak of the child "protectionist" era before the "offended by everything" woke culture took over, where teachers were not allowed to do anything or interfere with or punish students for conduct falling under the "self expression" or "experimenting" category. (there was another short lived trend known as the "free range kids" movement, which valued individuality, and self expression this related to)

3: Many students just wear shorts now instead of underwear, or just wear the skirt over a pair of trousers or strech pants, so the length of the skirt really is moot most of the time. It is only really Karens or Kens with a dirty mind, who are in denial that even worry about such silly things.


Lets be honest here - you were a teenager once. You telling me you really would have complained if your crush had a short skirt on and was only too happy to show it off to you? That really is the important part here. Let kids be kids, and exploring such things is a natural part of life anyway.. and getting upset about it is in part why the developed world has such as catestrophic drop in reproduction rates. If kids dont learn interpersonal skills, body language, visual queues, and how to get along with the opposite gender, then 10 years from now there wont BE any kids left for you to complain about their uniforms.


Edit: also my kids lived through the "uniforms are optional so long as they have school appropriate clothing on" era myself where so long as the clothes were the right color, leave the damn kids alone. This Hitler youth trend of strict uniform code that hasnt existed since probably the 1950's has only come back SINCE the accursed woke era :/ so any students rebelling by wearing inappropriate variants of it are likely just "pushing back" against it as a form of indirect protest lol

Those uniforms are quite typical. Skirts used to be more like the Kelly MacDonald length forty years ago, but generally not quite that long, but nowadays they are just like in Adolescence for the most part. There are some shorter tight black skirts at some schools, there is one notable school in Bishops Stortford that has this uniform so don't stray from the motorway at home time if you fly in to Stansted airport!

You get used to it, but I guess it could be a bit of a shock to the system if you are unfamiliar. As has been said, while skirt length might be enforced within the school grounds with the skirt worn low on the hips to make the length, the waist band might get rolled up to make the skirt shorter when off the school grounds.
