Peeing While Gaming

Here’s something you don’t hear about every day. Apparently it’s becoming more and more popular for gamers to continue gaming, even if it means an inevitable pants wetting.

And yes, I’m also guilty, I’ve peed my pants several times at home to continue gaming. It even happened once at an arcade, in a poorly lit corner. I’m sure no one saw it live, but someone definitely found the puddle.

and here’s the interesting thing: I have absolutely no desire to stop doing it. To me, every time it’s happened it’s been worth it, I’ve been able to continue gaming. Although I’d prefer it happen at home, even the inevitable Arcade pee is not enough to scare me off.

There are anecdotal reports, and one video that has been out there for a few years, of someone wetting their pants while playing in a casino, e.g., at a slot machine. Not quite the same, but nevertheless a similar context, where you getting up would mean losing your current place in the game.

Slot machines are designed so that if you play long enough, you are mathematically guaranteed to lose.

I don't play in casinos. But I read a book by a very experienced statistician who has studied gambling extensively. There is a certain subset of slot machines--certain types of games--that do exhibit patterns that in some cases can be predictable if someone wants to put in the effort. In other words, for certain types of slot games, there is some truth to the idea that after a certain number of plays, that particular machine is "due" for a win of some sort. So there could, at least in theory, be a rational motivation to keep playing at a certain point. If you leave, someone else could take the machine. And even if that does not happen, once you are logged out of your rewards account, the play cycle might be reset. So even if you come back to the machine, you won't "pick up where you left off."

But if you keep playing long enough, you will still lose money in the final accounting LOL

The point the guy was making in the book was more subtle. If you are good enough at recognizing patterns, and you carefully study certain types of slot games, and you have a really good short-term memory, it is possible to walk around the slot floor of a casino and watch other people playing. And if you do this long enough, eventually you will spot a situation where a player leaves a machine that has a high probability of hitting a jackpot soon. Most slots do not work this way. It is only certain types of games, known as progressive slots, and certain games that have a persistent-state feature that preserves the game's point in a cycle when the next player begins.

But even for games that do not work like this, many slot players believe the myth that there is a pattern or cycle, so they think they may be "due" for a win.

This is a classic, I wanna take her panties home. I wanna take HER home. icing on the proverbial cake: a lot of people think it’s a casino, but it’s not, it’s an arcade!

It’s an “in the game“ arcade, they’re owned by Johnny Rockets restaurant, and they’re usually connected to the restaurant. I’ve peed there! Actually, I haven’t, but it does seem inevitable.

I think she’s exactly the kind of person I was talking about, doesn’t go out planning on peeing her pants at the arcade, but also doesn’t mind if it happens. And she’s clearly not a routine wetter. If she were, she would’ve pulled the skirt behind her back. Then, when she walks away, no one knows who did it.

Hope I run into her at the Johnny Rockets by me. She needs someone to lick the pee off of her kitty
