How many of you were around during the Usenet alt.sex.watersports days? I was (obviously), and I certainly remember Patches from there, but was wondering how many other old timers we have.

That particular newsgroup has really faded over the last few years. There are a few sites that are very shareable but where it is not permitted to do that on this site or other sites like this one. I would have thought that newsgroups were the obvious option but surprisingly nobody chooses to share files in that way these days.

Yep, I was there! Wow, those were the days. Dialer, mail client, gofer. What fun.

Interesting that you can still find stuff on these old Usenet groups.

I also remember the first time I discovered that binaries were being uploaded to the groups - (small pics by today's standards) - UUencoded to convert to ASCII for transmission -

After waiting hours for a single pic to download at 1200 Bps and nearly filling up my 20 MB hard drive with the one picture - turned out you just can't see much of a picture on a CGA (4 color) display....

(Later on, I did realize it was the famous old photo of the girl in panties squatting over the pot, with the two guys watching.)

Yes, things have really changed - some for better, some not.

I remember the binary newsgroups way back when... 1995ish?

That was also a time when IRC channels like #WS were active and patches was the place to be. A couple even got married through IRC. I still meet up with a friend once a year from an IRC pee channel whenever she visits the states.

Now if you are a real old geezer like me, you remember Nugget Magazine's peeing features. They only mag in my home town that dared show pee content.

What I'm about to say may be controversial, but I think pee content on the internet peaked around 1999-2006. Webshots had fantastic new pics every day. The people partying down and peeing all over lacked today's awareness that someone might upload their pics to the internet. Back then events like Bay to Breakers had far more public pop-a-squats then today. Now people hide a little more when taking a public wiz. There are more cameras and websites, but not as many brazen public squatters.

ah, happy memories

i used to access usenet via the old mosiac browser. i can remember the frustration of downloading 20 parts of ASCII, then combining them manually and then decoding the file, and THEN waiting many minutes while my puny 286 SX PC rendered the picture! All that, to get one single picture! Anyone who hasn't waited 30 minutes for all the parts to download doesn't know how lucky they are. Does anyone know if Dodge is still part of the community? I used to love reading his spots and sightings.

I have great respect and admiration for those of you that came before . The inter net really evolved into what it's today . I didn't get on the internet until the late 90's or slightly after that . When I first got on and got my first computer . That was built and installed by a close friend of mine Who I would play DOOM with as a team against the computer . That I can only remember how much fun I had learning to play that game along side with him . Plus the very first pee porn website I found and loved so much for what it offered in pee porn . Was Patches Place ! Then came

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm still learning how a computer runs . Let alone that of how to do all things necessary on operating it still . Though I do have respect for those of you . That know how to trouble shoot major problems . When they pop - up at times .

'' something she told me in a e- mail over the problems of still learning to deal and be more proficient in learning and working a computer and setting up newer programs . That were going to work on her website . That she has now sold to new owners . Still I respect
