    • BBC TWO has live broadcast all evening on Friday. So I will be able to see it live.

      • It was a great race, Jessica came 2nd so she's through to the 1500m final on Sunday.
But not much wetness to be seen.

She controlled herself in any sense..
There was no need to push much!

          • The 3000m went well for Jess, too bad she couldn't keep the first position in the end. She got bronze.
And she got herself a nice wet patch in her green shorts which she showed after the race

There was an incident halfway the race, where Hailu stumbled right in front of Jessica, and Jess (intinctively?) reached forward so it almost looked like she pushed Hailu into falling. But I think everyone got away with it, Hailu ended 6th.

              Discreet but obvious...

              • I wonder if Jessica knows how popular she is because of her pee pee pants.

                  I'm pretty sure she knows...

                    • Jess went through a slight dip in form a few years ago after she got COVID and her 1500m times went back up to over the 4min mark. The thing I noticed around this time was that she was dry at the end of races. It was like she wasn't able to push that final few percent which makes her perform at her peak and also happens to make her bladder empty itself.

Today was another such day. Perhaps she was tired from the 3,000m, but when Georgia Hunter Bell kicked on in the final lap of the 1,500m, Jess couldn't go with her. She finished on a 3.59 for a silver medal, which is well below her best (her PB is 3.50), and she was completely dry. It wasn't a hidden leak, disguised by some clever material or something, her legs were bone dry too.

I think she just wasn't able to give it 100%.

Undoubtedly her leaks are a consequence of the effort she puts into the race.
So, if she coasts through, no surprise she stays dry...
